Dear Dietmar,
Your tragic and surprising death on July 27, 2020 has shaken us, the whole heat 11 GmbH & Co. KG, very much. Your death, at the age of only 57 years, is a great blow to us, especially on a human level. We are losing a friend, an inspirer and a mentor. You stood by many of us with help and advice.
As a founding member from the very beginning, you were also of enormous importance for our company and a guarantee for our mutual success. A thinker and real decision-maker who always took responsibility without ever losing the sympathetic open for his employees and partners. This has made you a highly respected and appreciated manager.
You were a great boss – but not only that, you were also an exemplary employee who lived and passed on the »heat 11 team spirit« at all times. Trust and a personal, even friendly working relationship were always very important to you. We deeply respect you for this exemplary way of working.
With you, the industry has lost a clever head and a well-known and important face. A thought leader, lateral thinker and innovation driver. A visionary and doer.
There are endless memories, anecdotes and testimonies of your life and work. We will tell each other all these for a very long time, mourn together and laugh together. We will gladly think of you and be proud to have been a part of your life.
Therefore, we have decided to dedicate a last letter to you to say goodbye.
Our whole team remains in deep gratitude and due respect for your achievement. In the greatest recognition and with full passion we will continue the company according to your example. Thank you for everything you have done for heat 11!
Our deepest sympathy and sincere condolences go especially to your remaining relatives, your friends and your family.
Bye bye, Dietmar!
